After finishing my A-levels I was offered a place at the University of Edinburgh to study Biological Sciences. I chose the university because it is one of the six ancient universities in the UK and I have always wanted to study somewhere with a rich and interesting history. So far, I have not been disappointed! It is amazing to think that I am studying in the same place as some of the world’s most influential people, such as Charles Darwin, Arthur Conan Doyle and Alexander Graham Bell. The city itself is beautiful, with amazing shopping and beautiful hiking trails; there is something for everyone. The weather, however, is unpredictable and it is essential that both a raincoat and sunglasses are carried around at all times. From girls on the cheer team to people on my course, I have made so many friends across the university that I know I will have for life and I love them all to pieces. I do miss Dubai and my friends at Kent College and although I am no longer a student, I know I will always be part of the Kent College community.
